Halloween Stuff!

Fun fun fun halloween stuff that my sis snapped these pics of in Utah. I will be doing less-awesome knock off versions of these :) But they will not cost me anything.

So on this one- those fun swizzle stick/candy looking things are just wooden dowels cut and painted. Easy as pie! I do so wish that I could craft an awesome apothecary jar like that out of something in my house. Oh well.
And I am really excited about this one- haven't decided if I am going to use real books, or make them out of wood or what. But I know I can beat $26.

See you Thursday! :)

Topiary

Some of you probably saw me working on this a few craft nights back. I finally finished it so I thought I'd post a pic of what it looks like now. If anyone wants to make this, it's very easy...just takes time. :)  I saw a topiary similar to this on Ucreate crafts, but they used scrapbook paper instead of satin fabric. All you need are 2 styrofoam balls, a dowel stick, fabric/scrapbook paper, straight pins with the pearl looking end, felt, and hot glue gun, along with something to put your topiary in. (Pot, jar, etc.) I also covered a couple styrofoam balls in the same way and set them on top of candlesticks. They would even be cute hanging with ribbon from the ceiling of a little girls room.

Helena Parker - Humanitarian Project

For PMS tomorrow night, I was going to work on some humanitarian projects. If anyone doesn't have their own projects and wants to help me, come I have plenty that needs done. I will bring pictures that need to be colored for the file folders. I also have cut out wood animals that need to be sanded and painted. I couldn't figure out how to copy that picture, but this is the website http://www.ldsphilanthropies.org/humanitarian-services/patterns/animals-and-flying-things.pdf if you want to see them.

Jilene is Awesome!

Here's a project Jilene sent me that she did in about an hour:

"Here is a pic of a skirt I made Ava the other day. It's so easy and inexpensive. (Just uses 1 fat quarter for the main part and 1/2 of a fat quarter for the trim, elastic, and ric-rac if wanted.) I think I figured it was about $4 if everything is reg price. Cheaper with coupons."

Isn't that adorable!? If you have more questions about it, ask Jilene, 'cause she's awesome!
